I'd never heard of this group before, but this song came up in my youtube recommendations one night and I had some time so I decided to listen to it, and I was instantly glad I did. That same night had seen the release of a new song from The Script, which I hadn't really enjoyed, however this completely filled what I'd been hoping for from The Script. This absolutely feels like it could have been on their debut album, as it totally has the sound of the singles from it, or even "Nothing" from the second album. Even the vocalist sounds quite a lot like Danny from The Script at times. I adore all of those songs, so naturally I also love this song. The lyrics describe the heartbreak of being cheated on in a very relatable way, and the vocals and piano convey the emotion perfectly. The chorus feels like a great release of the frustration and hurt rather than just assigning blame. I'm very glad I clicked on this video. |
