****** This song caused much controversy last month in Sweden. Or more specific: the singers did. They are Ann-Louise Hanson (60), Towa Carson (66) and Siw Malmkvist (67). These 'Ladies at age' entered the Swedish Songcontest Preselections (Melodifestivalen) with this very nice 100 % Eurovision Song. And they won and ended in the Final! 'Pensioners in the Final!', journalists wrote in newspapers. Many young and upcoming artists protested against the fact that these three Ladies - with 45 years of experience - participated again in the preselections. After all they did not win this final, in fact they ended 10th out of 10. Siw Malmkvist is well known in Sweden. She represented her country in 1960 and Germany in 1969. Nevertheless, the song is REALLY BIG FUN! Title is French, but song absolutely Swedish! If you like the Eurovision, you will like it too! Last edited: 09.04.2004 20:14 |
