Die Strophen von "Gorilla" gefallen mir sehr gut - der Refrain verdirbt mir die Freude an diesem Song dann leider etwas. Und ein bisschen zu weinerlich ist die Nummer tatsächlich ausgefallen. |

What a track from Bruno! The backing music is very nice, and the vocals are really good. The lyrics though...<br><br>I'm surprised they chose this as the fourth single.

Yes the lyrics are the only problem I have with this song. Umm don't wanna think about how gorillas 'make love'?!?!?!! And don't need to know that he's drunk and on drugs. Boo to that Bruno and then the random swearing is so out of place. In fact all of that really brings the song right down, what a shame. |

What the?!?!?!? Some of the lyrics are very awkward to listen to, but this is an otherwise cool song, good music and enough to get stuck into. The lyrics actually did make me laugh a little bit, so I guess there is some redemption there.<br><br>EDIT: I'm finding myself preferring not to listen to it on the radio when it comes on. 4* -> 3*.

There's something oddly familiar about a song about making love with animal metaphors has a hook beginning with 'You and me baby...'. It's actually kind of funny how Bruno started off with vague pick up attempts as singles, and now in album two, he can't not stop to remind you just how much he craves the woman's...lovin'. The retro sound (which differs to all of his other retro sounds!) is appreciated though. 3.6

I consider this one of his weakest singles from his second album but it's still listenable. The production is energetic and heavy and Bruno's vocals are hard-hitting but the lyrics just aren't doing it any justice.

In 2010 I noticed this new guy called Bruno Mars that was featuring on other artists tracks then later in the year he released his 1st solo single Just The Way You Are and I liked it, then he released Grenade which wasn't much worse but then after that his music quality has slowly but steadily declined and his voice becoming more and more boring as time went by. I'm totally sick of this guy now and won't even flinch or notice if he disappeared for at least 10 years. This sounds just as boring as some of his other stuff and that video was a real turn off too which hurts this score. 2.8. |
