**** Actually almost all the vocals for this album were recorded by Agnetha and Frida in January 1980. Only the Spanish vocals for Chiquitita and I Have A Dream were recorded in 1979. Seems the album was a huge success in... Japan, much to the amazement of ABBA themselves. It was also massive in South America. The whole album is now available on the CD ABB Oro. Its latest editions also contain the 4 Spanish versions they made for the Super Trouper and Visitors album. It also contains an old, unreleased Spanish version for Ring Ring. The album is interesting because it provides new vocals for familiar songs. Although no backing track was made especially for these Spanish versions, they sometimes feature arrrangements and mixes which are different from the original English releases. For instance, Dancing Queen is a bit longer in Spanish. The only problem is Agnetha & Frida's accent in Spanish language : ugh... |
