Wetter-, stimmungs- und zeitunabhängig schöne Musik, die die Decemberists hier präsentieren. Nachdem mich "The Hazards of Love" nie vollends überzeugen konnte, tut ihr sechstes Album "The King Is Dead" dies auf Anhieb. Ein Set mit zehn Songs, die mir allesamt ein breites Lächeln aufs Gesicht zaubern. Fantastische Melodien, dazu passende, detailverliebte Arrangements... was will man mehr?!

Pure Euphorie momentan!

Excellent album, every track is a good or a great listen, standout track for me is Down By The Water.

A solid album, with a couple of standout tracks, those being This Is Why We Fight and Calamity Song. I like the vocals, and the lyrics are quite good throughout, and they have a nice sound.
