**** Meiner nicht, einzig White room und As you said sind stark. Aber die 2te Platte - Live im März 1968, die ist richtig stark! #1 in US (Gold), CAN, AUS Laut Rolling Stone #203 der besten Alben ever.
Für mich wegen der vielen Durchschnittsongs deutlich unter der 4.5 Last edited: 25.09.2013 11:11
****** Cream's third album is a double that features the bands skills in the studio on one disc and there prowess as a live act on the other. It's a perfect meshing of the groups diversity.
The studio disc is displays extraordinary scope... from the psychedelic masterpiece "White Room", to the beautiful "As You Said", the blues workouts of "Sitting On Top Of The World" & "Born Under A Bad Sign", the avant garde "Pressed Rat And Warthog" and the muscular Rock of "Deserted Cities Of The Heart". This is the band at the height of their powers... excellent compositions and interpretations performed skilfully tight with such polish.
The live disc is a classic example of a Cream performance (recorded in early 68' at San Francisco's Winterland Ballroom & The Fillmore), masterful musicianship with such muscle and power. Typical of the psychedelic scene of the time with massive extended improvisational jams... only skilful musicians in tune with each other can pull these kind of workouts off.
Regarded by many as Cream's best album... it certainly packs a musical punch and has stood the test of time. Last edited: 30.07.2015 09:40
